Who signed me up for this???

It's the very end of March & all I see is snow, snow, literally tons of ice & more snow.....ugh! I mean, really, when did I sign up to live in the freaking arctic...

Oh yeah, it's coming back to me now....almost 11 years ago, an incredibly handsome man suggested something like this:

"I love you.....will you marry me.....the rest of our lives together (this is where I slipped into a delirious state & missed the rest of the conversation).....yada, yada....moving to Alaska....yada, yada.....Honey, I love you more than anything, please say you'll be my wife...."

Yeah, I knew I should have paid more attention, but you do crazy things for love. And although I am still madly in love with K. all these years later, I have reached my max of winter in Alaska for this year. Yes, I said this year....every winter I hit this point. We have now been in winter-freaking-wonderland (yep, that was oozing sarcasm) for 6 full months now & I am fed up. And in case you are wondering, as soon as break-up (our term for when everything thaws & turns to muck) is over & summer arrives, I'll be in love with Alaska again. But not today. Not this week. Especially not after our recent jaunt to Hawaii. There is nothing like leaving negative tempertures & stepping off a plane 6 hours later in an 80degree paradise :) We had a fabulous time but it made coming back here so incredibly depressing.....

so without further ado, here are just a few of the photos from our trip....

My boy had a fabulous time at the beach...he's already dying to go back

And we are so blessed that the kids get along so well.....they had a blast at the pool togetherSee don't I look like I belong in Hawaii????

K. was totally in his element boogie-boarding

D. loved the metal bike racks that lined the Honolulu streets....too cute

So, now we're home, back in the groove.....

We're anxiously waiting the arrival of our Spring. The kids are back to their school routine & along with that comes the crud....yep D. already has had a virus....fever & puking and all. Fun! Fun! I do have a bit of spring fever...the cleaning bug & the craving to redecorate. Every year I say I want to redecorate, but never get around to it. Well this is the year..just little things, but I'm definately tired of our look. I can already see the money flowing out of my bank account...

And last, but certainly not least, in just 6 short weeks my sister Femmie is getting married. We are so excited. But there is so much to do to get ready...dresses, tuxes, shoes & all that stuff...oh and a uber fun GNO (girls' night out). I am just starting to hash out all the details. She knows about the event but there are some 'secret squirrel' aspects to it...so SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Okay...of to my "In-Anticipation-of-Spring" cleaning :) You know you're jealous........

Hi Stacy--I don't know how you do cold weather. If I had to pick a least favorite season it would be winter. I absolutely adore spring!
Your pics in Hawaii look awesome! See isn't spring-like-summer-like weather soooo nice?
I'm liking reading your blog.

Hawaii looks awesome!

Being a New Englander, I am just excited about seeing no piles snow and ice in our backyard anymore!

My two kids are not as happy!

We're having a drought here, and just got back from running around in an almost 80-degree day.

Snow sounds pretty good. Almost.
